Best-selling writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
An official for the publisher said: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was taken subsequent to an investigation into allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable involving women.
The publisher did not confirm the motivations for this action, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
He has published more than 40 books combined, encompassing a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
